In this case, it's not the Governor's fault

What doesn't work is individual citizens not acting responsibly

Three infection spikes in various parts of the country (blue/red/purple) during Trump's reign already proved that we Americans (and quite a bit of the rest of the world) were too selfish and spoiled to get this behind us in a timely fashion.

I think we are in full agreement on this --
What I find repugnant - A lot like the guy that started this thread along with an Ex-President -- are those folks seeking some type of political advantage while good folks are suffering & dying -- This good Governor has done her level best under great duress & distress to keep her States citizens alive & healthy

My word! All the great duress & distress coming from the President of the United States of America *sooling his

vigilante-cosplay-patriots on to "that woman" in Michigan.

*sool (third-person singular simple present sools, present participle sooling, simple past and past participle sooled)

(Australia) To encourage (especially a dog) to attack.
My neighbour sooled her bull mastiff onto my chihuahua, because she was s**k of its yapping and wanted it to meet its demise.

Duress: Its Origin and Relations
Duress is a word of hardy stock. It has been a part of the English language since the 14th century, and has a number of long-lived relatives. Duress itself came into Middle English through the Anglo-French duresce (meaning "hardness" or "severity"), which stems from Latin durus, meaning "hard." Some obvious relatives of this robust root are durable, endure, and obdurate (meaning "unyielding" or "hardened in feelings"). Some others are dour (meaning "harsh," "unyielding," or "gloomy") and during.

Definition of sool
1Australia : to incite (as a dog) to attack : SIC
2Australia : to urge on

Honestly all that really matters is that people’s choices should be respected. People shouldn’t be treated as outcasts for not taking the v*****e. Peoples access to entertainment employment should not be based on someone not wanting to take a v*****e. We should not be forced to wear a mask

We live on an overcrowded planet --
PEOPLE should realize that & act & conduct themselves as knowledgeable Adults living in the 21st Century --
For goodness sake, this is not the 12th/13th Century
PS: You don't get into my place of business unless you wear a Mask
