Someone posted this request on the local Nextdoor.com
"Need ride up to Latham. Hey folks. Iām looking for someone I can pay for a one-way ride from Woodstock up to Latham tomorrow (Saturday 4/10). I need to be there around 11:00am so pick up between 10:00 and 10:30 would be good"
So, whoever drives him will have to cover the expense of gas and tolls for the ride home. Mapquest says it's a little over an hour, and my Honda Fit would use $6.21 in gas. Tolls would be about three dollars.

If something like that listed here I would probably drive the person just for something to do and to meet someone new. I like being retired but sometimes it gets a little boring and too routine.

I think he's looking for somebody who would be making the round trip anyway, or planning to go that way for some reason.

Yes, and what if on the journey there, she asked you to pull over and make mad passionate love to her...she would in all likelihood miss the 11:00 am deadline...and you would probably have to bring her back home and try again the next day, but set off an hour earlier!
