Red Sky at Morning

This is one of my first attempts at using Photoshop's Oil Paint filter. Background image is the Statue, sky replacement with an early am sunrise shot of the Manhattan skyline with the moon and eagle added. I used 2 different tutorials to do the oil paint filter, one form Photoshop Essentials, another from Photoshop Cafe, and this is attempt number 4 at adjusting the settings. Thought I'd share.

If you would like, please click on the picture, doing so will link you to the gallery page where the shot can be seen in higher resolution and full page. Thanks for viewing and Have A Blessed Day !!!

I like the composite, but I don’t see the oil painting effect. I am viewing this on an IPAD, so that maybe the reason.

Thank You Frank. I may have been too conservative on the effect on this one, trying to avoid too much effect on the Statue of Liberty. . The effect is visible more so on the moon and the eagle, and the skyline buildings. Glad you enjoyed it. I may have to tweak this one some. Thanks Again !!!

Thank You Jack, I’ll revisit it and increase the settings. It’s visible at 100%, but it needs to be at normal viewing size. I was trying not to distort the Statue of Liberty too much. I appreciate your viewing and commenting😊👍

Maybe try masking out the Statue and apply the oil paint filter to the rest?
