I have used Quicken 2014 Home & Business since 2014. Like you, I prefer to enter everything manually and then reconcile when I get statements. When I moved from Windows 7 to Windows 10 last year I used PC Mover to move my programs and settings. My Quicken works perfectly on the new PC. I suspect that 2007 will work also. Make sure you have your Quicken QDF backup file on an external device like a thumb drive.

Thanks!
I'll anticipate success when the time arrives.

Check with your bank. They may have a way for you to access your account directly without the need for Quicken. I used to use Quicken, but now I can just login to my bank accounts without it.

My advice is the same. I have also used Quicken but stopped several years ago and recently my bank offered me the option of online banking for free. Very efficient, easy, and most convenient.

Got a notice that Quicken is going to cut off my service this month if I don't pay up. I use it to keep my banking information Anyone recommend an alternate to Quicken?

I'm still using an older version (2003) on windows 7 with no problems at all. What version are you using, and what part of the program would you lose if they "cut off your service"? I have a newer version (2015), but for some reason I didn't care for it and deleted it and went back to v2003.

I've never used that at all.
I enter all my transactions into Quicken manually within a day or so of creating them. Immediately when writing checks.
When I get the bank statement (download PDF) I just have to match and "clear" them in Quicken.
But my method works great for me.

Same here.

The advantage of Quicken is that all of your finances and investments are consolidated in one place.

Yes I'm going to see if an older version works

In that case, I myself, would replace it with something else.
Might be interesting when I have to get a new computer with Win 10...
At that point I'll see if the 2007 version I have works in Win 10.

I use quicken and love it as I use it for budgeting and stock portfolio. To me its worth the annual fee. However, I do believe Mint by intuit is still free for a basic version.
