Any information on a Nikon 200-500. On FTZ ADAPTER and how it works with z50
Am thinking of trading my tamron 150-600 g2 in because it has a hunting problems at full extension (600)
I am thinking it’s because of FTZ ADAPTER with tamron g2 150-600 ? And Nikon 200-500 would not being Nikon to Nikon fit .

With the FTZ adapter the Nikon 200-500 will work perfectly on the Z50.

Not sure of your question. Do you have a Z50 and are considering whether the Nikon or Tamron lens is a better match? I believe either should perform equally well with the FTZ, although using the Nikon would probably provide more peace of mind. The choice between these two in terms of picture quality has been the subject of countless pages of opinion, and nothing would change in the regard if they were mounted on an FTZ. Either way, however, you will end up with a massively unbalanced rig with a very heavy lens on a tiny body, which might be difficult ergonomically. I suggest you try it out with either one of your candidates.

Just a note, I had to get a software update for my Tamron 18-400 to get it to work on my Z50.
It was done at Tamron, with a quick visit.

I have the 200-500 which works great on my Z7 with the adapter but if you like the Tamron 150-600 I’d make sure the firmware was updated before I gave up on it.

I don't have the Tamron but I do have the Sigma 150-600 which is similar in size and weight. I have mounted it several times on my z50, and except for the feeling like I'm using a 500 pound anchor for a 12 foot aluminum boat, it works fine. As there is no glass in an FTZ there is nothing to cause problems. The combination gave me some pretty good shots of the recent conjunction. Your Tamron may be different but my Sigma paired up well with my z50 right out of the box.

...the 200-500 works like a champ with my Z50. I'm hoping Nikon will come out with an upgraded "50" but, still, I'm pretty amazed at that little thing...

I found that the Tamron works fine on my Canon mirrorless cameras but for me the weight was a problem. The AF was slower but I could normally work around it. I finally traded it in for a cannon 100-400mm L usm is ii and a 1.4x teleconverter and love this combination.

The lens itself will not hunt, it only responds to signals from the camera. The FTZ has no effect on focus ability. You need a faster lens or a camera with greater autofocus sensitivity.
Edit: Or confine yourself to subjects with good lighting/contrast.
