Had our second shot a week ago (Pfizer). Ache in the arm for 2 days and easily forgotten. Please be safe.

Interesting.... My response to blue mask was taken down?

I bought a box of 3m brand, N95 1860 blue surgical masks - the only ones certified to block particles as small as 0.5 microns, i.e. the only one that should block the Covid-19 aerosol particles. As few as 5 of these particles in the nasal passage can give you a full blown Covid-19 virus attack.

I bought a box of these masks this year when I could, after they were available in copious supply for hospitals, etc. nationwide. The cost online (ebay) was "in line" with the cost at retail of 2 ply cloth masks that don't protect anyone from Covid-19.

This is NOT the only time we will face a variant of Covid-19 or other pandemic viruses in the coming years. I will wear this mask and attempt to clean it with Lysol or a similar spray after use. I do expect to need it for my wife and myself in the future.

If you can buy these masks for $3-$4-$5 each, you might want to think about it. I've given you the information you need to find them and confirm that they were indeed manufactured by the 3M company.

Recommend you not machine wash your mask. The elastic straps will not probably survive a washing machine and dryer. (Plus the possible compromises previously mentioned if washing removes any physical or hydrostatic barrier to airborne particles of the sub-micron size.

Be Safe. Don't be sorry.

Get your vaccinations. It is working. My clinic has not had any new cases in 3 weeks now. I hope and pray this is the end of it.

I got my second Pfizer shot yesterday, minimal arm soreness. What now? If. If nothing changes what was the point of being vaccinated.

You are less likely to get / pass-on, the covid 19 infection. Does that mean NOTHING to you?

Great info. Thank you. Today is my third day after the shot; pain in the arm is all but gone, everything else is fine.

You must be the first and only one to get it in the butt.

I completed my Pfizer combo on 1 April. I had less reaction from these shots than I usually do from the flu shots. Meaning practically nothing happened. Since it is a virus, I wonder if we will be getting these shots every year like the flu shot. Would expect just one per year as a booster.

Other than the arm was sore for a day or two longer than a flu shot. Neither shot caused any problems for the wife or myself. We got the Pfizer.

I'm out of the equation. Follow science and not hyperbole. At what point do you move on with your life?

I had chills for eight hours starting about 24 hours after my second Pfizer shot. Figured that was just my immune system kicking in to high gear. It is a very freeing feeling to be vaccinated. Now I feel that going in to the grocery store won't kill me...

Neither my wife nor myself had any reaction other then sore arm. We are in our late 70's. A physician friend of my daughters explained to her that older folks have less antibodies then the younger generations. The reactions are caused by the vaccine fighting with the antibodies.

The whole idea is to protect you from Covid. What has changed? You now have a 95% chance of being immune if exposed to the disease. It is now deemed safe to socialize with other folks that have been vaccinated without masks. If you get an accidental up close exposure, you probably won’t catch the disease. Are you so naive that you think the whole world can be turned loose, now that YOU have been immunized? There are lots of folks out there that are still susceptible.
