Pretty simple - I don't enjoy the computer work, I do like the photos I get without. Since I am not being paid for work, I can do as I like.
I agree. Do what you like. If it pleases you don’t worry about anyone. You don’t have a boss to account for. If you like your photos that’s all that counts. I prefer small tweaks and enhancements to my JPEGs when needed.

Color preferences rest in the eye of the observer. That's why there were other brands of film that didn't have the brilliance of Kodachrome. I accepted Ektachrome, but the worst was Agfachrome, which could be developed at home and enjoyed until it turned green. I once had a "frank exchange of views" with a museum docent whose color preferences in a projected slide differed from mine.
Didn't like the "European Pallet" of Agfachrome, huh. I actually did, when shooting old streets in Europe. Seemed more "at home" than the brighter colors of K64 or Provia, my usual preferences.
I still have a dozen 36 exp. rolls of High Speed Ektachrome in my freezer. One of these days I'll haul it out and use it.
WTFO---what the hell is this?? Has our webpage done nuts????
OK. I quit. If this website has sunk to this low, I'm out of here. Why do I want to watch this crap.
QD this was an interesting post until it got derailed by zombie head. I would write more but not sure you would get to see it. Thankfully Curmugeon has let us know about your status. If this reaches you, please give Sir Racha a scratch behind the ears.

Zombie Post
On social media, when someone comments on a long dead post from years ago, re-animating the conversation to a horrible, terrifying undeath
Thanks. I checked the reviews and they were mostly quite positive. However my post was about how a post by Quixdraw got taken off track by UserID who posted images of Zombies. QD has, for reasons unknown to me, been booted off UHH. Another member, Curmudgeon, has ground mail contact with QD. I, and am sure other members, have sent our best wishes to QD via Curmudgeon. Quixdraw lives with his wife and dogs, including a newly acquired Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy in rural Montana. I would say, and bet many on this forum would agree me, that he may be the absolute very last person on this forum who would voluntarily watch a zombie movie. Thanks/

I think you and Sutjero missed the point. This thread was essentially dead. The last post was almost a year and a half ago. It was “revived” by an innocuous post that didn’t really offer any important information. This is called a “zombie post”. Generally before posting on a thread it’s a good idea to look at the date of the post and evaluate if your comment brings enough new to the conversation. Even then it’s a better idea to start a new thread.

Yeah, you're right. Perhaps after a certain length of time, when a comment is made to an old post, it could be shunted off to the "Home of Elder Posts". This could be a section that people could sign up for if they chose to do so. Thanks.
