Do not buy it! It is a scam product.

No....... Spend less for a normal usb stick or better yet, Spend a few dollars more and get a hard drive which is better for backup.

I bought a 2TB SSD and backed up my laptop which included both my personal files and work projects. I would carry the laptop with me wherever I would go. Stopped to grab a quick breakfast one morning on the way to work and someone smashed the window out of my car and stole my computer bag....which had my backup in it so my advice is to NEVER keep them together.😢

As mentioned, the key is organization, and the problem with these devices (other than being wildly overpriced for their capacity) is that they’re unlikely to find all the data that you should back up. If you keep all your images (or .docs or .mp3s or...) in one main folder or separate drive (you can have all the sub folders you want), then you can easily back up that folder or drive, and If you don’t know where all your images are located, then download a copy of Search Everything and search on the file extensions and then organize them. BUT, there are other folders you should be backing up including downloads and program data. Some applications will place data in your “documents” folder, while another Ap may place them in “program data” or create it’s own folder on the root drive. Either way, “the stick” will be very unlikely to find all the data that should be backed up.

Why not have a fake 15th magnitude star named after you. Same thing

Simple solution is correct from the people who have already posted their remarks. Purchase a multi TB external hard drive, I have 3, and copy what you want to that drive. Lots more room, not easily lost. (The stick is pretty small) If you have other things you want to save, you will have the room. Glad you asked the question. People who don't know what it is, or what it can do, can be conned into buying something they really can't rely on.

See Trixs entry above. Data is spewed all over your hard drive. The only way to get everything is to take an image of your drive but even that fails when you have seperate drives for different things. I use a combination of image (bootable) backups and file backups tailored to get EVERYTHING. It is a little complicated but it works and is easily altered or changed. Some people seem to use a policy of just reloading their system (or C:) drive but that doesn't work for me. I have spent years setting everything up with tweaks galore. I wouldn't want to have to reload the OS + programs and set it up as before. There is a weeks work to do this. Plus all the inconvenience. So I image it and it has saved my bacon more than a few times. For data (I have two large disks) I use bvckup2 which has been very reliable and convenient. It has a useful advantage in that if something is failing like a hard drive (or even a motherboard as it happens) it will get flagged often before any other diagnostic will.
