David, I think I like part 2 the best. I love the colorful row houses. There seems to be a great variety of architecture. Well done. I’m sure it was fun.

An outstanding set of photographs of this historic town, David. I have been there a few times, but not for about 15 or so years. Your photos brought back some wonderful memories for me. THANKS.

Dawson City, Yukon Territory, Canada – Part 2, Street Scenes and Miscellaneous

I have visited Dawson City twice, in 2007 and 2014, on tours by John Hall’s Alaska. Both tours afforded adequate time for guided coach trips and just strolling around the city. I have previously posted sets about the Dredge No. 4 (https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-641187-1.html) and St. Mary’s Catholic Church (https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-657684-1.html), but I thought perhaps folks here might like to see a more varied collection of photographs of that very interesting and history city. I am including shots from both the 2007 and 2014 visits. Dawson City is famous as the residence of 2 famous authors—Robert Service and Jack London—and there are historic sites about both.

This set is in 2 Parts: Part 1 is of major structures in good repair, and Part 2 is of street scenes and decrepit buildings.

When I was there (many years ago) the theater was boarded up and for sale. It appears that it was open in 2014.

It is and it is great fun!

Appreciate the fond memories of my two visits your images evoke.

Visit to house Robert Service lived in for his year there also was awesome.

(Photo from wikipedia. I have my own but not on iPad)
