Working with the Nikkor 24 1:2.8 AI, again on the D3, and another cloudy day.
Don't know which of these first two I prefer

The last of the Hotel Stockwell in its prime circa 1909
Hotel stable with hints of Barn red holding on
Can't pass the church when the light is interesting
A touch of color at the Road Department
And through the gate

Keeping with "Big Sky Country", I prefer the first of the two.
Very nice series! Wide open spaces.

Thanks, I kind of blew out the sky on that one, drastically changed the F stop on the second. I may rework the wide crop and see how it works. Thanks again!

Thanks, got a lot of wide open spaces! Wait till tomorrow, going out to visit friends in the Big Open, supposed to be nice so I'll likely get some photos.
Beautiful set, QD; love the sky opening up above the church.

Thanks very much! The church shot too similar to the last one I took, but couldn't resist the "light from above".
I also prefer the first of the two. I wonder, would it help to crop down from the top and reduce the sky area? That would get rid of the brightest of the sky and most of the power lines? And it would lend a panoramic feeling to the image.
Thanks very much & for the thumbs!
