Sony Cust. Service - Excellent

I have to give a shout out to Sony for their customer service. I have an a6400. Out of the blue, it started taking 3 shots for every shutter click. I Googled all possible issues and even checked Sony's page for culprits. Nothing fixed it. I called the customer service number on their website and within 4 rings got a real live person. He listened to my issue, did some research and determined that we needed to reset the camera to default settings. I was trying to avoid that but... it instantly fixed things.
So, I just have to say that I was very impressed with Sony for being so accessible. I didn't have to give a serial number or proof of purchase. He just went right for the solution. Kudos!

I’ve had similar experiences with Sony. They even replaced my camera after several unsuccessful attempts to correct an auto focusing bug. Great customer service!
Agreed. I sent in 4 SD cards that are currently on recall and I was pleasantly surprised that I had the new ones in less than a week.
As a Sony Pro Services Member it is nice to hear that non-pros are also being treated well by Sony. SPS membership is $100 per year and we do get many special benefits and two-day turn-around on any repairs, and free loaners which working pros need.
I was a longtime member of both Nikon and Canon Pro Services in the past and I can report that Sony's Pro Services is even better.
Glad they are treating you well also.
Cheers

Back in the early 2000's, my Sony F717 screen went blank. I brought it to a large camera repair concern, and the first thing they told me was that I was out of warrantee. They estimated $150.00 or so to fix it. I said go ahead. When I picked it up two weeks later, they said I owed them nothing, because Sony had picked up the cost due to an earlier recall it had on that model. I was not expecting it, and they did not have to do it, but they did. I think overall, Sony is about as stand up a company as you will find.
Good to here. The customer service was rumored to be lousy a few/couple of years back. I'm sure their customer base is big enough to warrant the support.
