Starlings are Roman! Who knew?

Remember in Ancient History class they mentioned the "Roman Bath Houses" where people sat around in the hot water and hashed out the Empire and its problems? Or more likely just gossiped and got smashed on wine.

Well it seems that Starlings must be Romans because here we are. I think I need a much bigger birdbath.

Hey, they are playing in the water!!!

????? We have air traffic control below the level the airliners are at?

You couldn't tell it from the way copters (PD, news, traffic, military), old War Birds out of "Planes of Fame", putt-putts from the Corona airfield and the water bombers (Fire season is starting.) zig zag, dodge and do everything but dog fight. The war birds use my block as a turning point when doing test flights out of Planes of Fame in Chino because 6 houses have large pools making the center of the block a bright blue landmark from the air. And we are part way up the slope from the river to the foothills so by the time they get here after leaving Chino they are pretty low over my house - I have gotten some fairly good pictures as they bank through their turn to head back to Chino. My house and the guy over my back fence are the east end of the cluster and they always come up the west side and do a 180 to the east around the cluster to head back south.

Well, summer is here so they will need to do this more.
But the utilities people want us to cut water use by 50%. I have always been about 50% of my allotment. Does that mean I have to go to 25% or I get yelled at while the neighborhood water wasters get phrased for getting down to 60% of their allotment?
