Think about a smartphone, or a Mac, or a Windows PC. Each of them can do thousands or millions of things (Just switch applications). Most people are lucky to master a few.

What about planar quantum interference lenses?
They have the potential of being perfectly flat and producing a long range of focal lengths without moving parts.
Imagine an (obviously) mirrorless compact camera like a RX100, but full frame and equipped with the equivalent of a 18-600mm zoom...

How much!
You can make telescope mirrors from Silicon carbide or nitride?, very stiff, thin, light weight etc. and costs $$$$$$$.
