I work at a church and school on 16 acres with multiple buildings but only 2 official places of delivery. The school office or the parish office. I have all my packages shipped to my office with instructions "Parish office" on it. It is safer than them leaving items on my home porch. But here is the issue with that - I've had drivers leave parcels all over this campus because they can't seem to follow instructions. I've even found packages left at our food pantry where we serve the homeless. If there was a second delivery I didn't see it but the fact is that I only placed one order on 11/28/20 not two as claimed by B&H.

Daniel, you didn't answer the question I have asked several times. Does the tracking info show the second (disputed) item was delivered or not? It's a simple yes or no answer. If the answer is no, you are in the clear. If it is yes, then if you didn't sign for it, then you may have a clue as to who did or what happened to it.

NO!!!! I don't have a second tracking number. I was sent one conformation email for the order I didn't place a week later and after I'd already received my package. To be frank I didn't pay much attention to it because I'd already received my items.

Listen - I'm doing this whole thing with B&H through the BBB right now. It's got me nowhere thus far.

I've been quite clear on all my posts here. If you don't believe me fine but I can't explain things any better than I already have.

If there were two orders and two shipments there should be two records of delivery. It's just a matter of checking with UPS or whomever B&H uses.

I am not saying I don't believe you. I have had wacky online purchase experiences too, including items never delivered, a $1600 item that disappeared at the fedex transfer point (I guess it "fell off the truck"), an Amazon vendor using my card number fraudulently, etc. But I got them all resolved in my favor. If you don't have a tracking number for the second item, B&H would have it, and Herschel would have it. It seems that is really the key to the whole issue of finding out what happened to the second item, if it was delivered and to who. With $500 at stake why don't you contact him? I don't have much faith in the BBB, they are just a reporting agency. In my experience credit card companies tend to take the vendors' side in billing disputes unless you can present evidence of fraud. That's why I always use Paypal for any online transactions when it's available. Paypal is 100% behind the purchaser.

Why use BBB instead of dealing with a manager at B&H who asked you to contact him. FYI - BBB has no real authority. It's time to man-up and speak directly to someone who might be able to help instead of having BBB carry your water.

You might try to have your shipments delivered to an honest friend or neighbor that lives close to you. You might have better luck on your deliveries. It sounds like your church has a lot of different drop locations. I can see a miss delivery happening. Try delivering to someone like your Mom, Dad, sister, brother. Someone you can trust who might be home all day.

Another question is did b and h verify both were shipped? They posted that there were 2 orders days apart but didn’t mention that both showed shipped.
Also verify that a clerk didn’t try to correct a mistake in price by trying to cancel the original order and enter another with the correct price. If it got screwed up this can happen. Another person on the review of the item noted that it was a hundred bucks more money in December. It’s now 399.

One more thing is that B and H uses FedEx, which has a bad track record around here, including a recent order of fine art paper I bought.

Did you see my earlier post where I suggested that maybe you had your identity stolen and the second package was sent somewhere else? Has B&H looked at the tracking for the second drive to find out where it was sent and if the shipper successfully delivered it to that address?

If the shipper delivered both those packages to your address, then you have two issues. The first being that you indicate you didn't order the second drive, and the second issue being that the drive was delivered to you and someone else took it.

If the second order was a mistake on B&H's part and the second order was shipped there should be a record of its disposition by the shipper.

Whether the second drive was delivered to your location or somewhere else, It sounds like there is a possibility that someone else may have ordered it in your name. You've gotten a lot of flack from posters here, but there's still a lot of information missing for to just jump to a conclusion one way or the other.

I've used BH for 30 years and they've never been a problem. Their people are very knowledgeable and helpful. Order by phone if you have problems ordering by computer.
