I would like any opinions on a possible Nikon camera purchase.
Good deal and you have the option of using its DX mode with the DX lenses. Excellent processor and many capabilities.

I have a D3400 and bought a used D750. I am amazed by difference in image quality, increased dynamic range and reduced noise are very obvious. Since the D5000 is 12MP using a dx lens on the D750 would not be that much of a quality loss considering the other improvements. 650 is less than I payed for the one I bought, the deal seems to be a good one to me.

I have an opportunity to purchase a D750 body with two batteries and charger that has 10,000 actuations for $650.00. Is that a fair deal and do I really "need" it....lol?
That’s a great deal. I have 2 D750s and love them. All this enthusiasm with CHG-Canon’s caveat that you will need to acquire an FX lens or two.

Thanks in advance for your valued opinion.
The shutter life of a D750 is 150,000 according to Nikon. So your camera has only used 6% of that life. The body is currently on sale for $1500.00, so your buying at better than 1/2 price.
Good luck and keep on shooting until the end.
If you want to go FF, sounds like a great deal on a great camera. There was not a negative comment above.
The DX lens issue is a concern. You can a) live with the vingetting- likely not a long or short term option, and b) use the D750 in DX mode, but with the noted MP reduction -again - likely not a good long term option but workable for short run, or c) sell the D5000 and lens and use the proceeds to buy a good FX lens or two.
If you are switching over to FX, you will want, i would think, to move in this last direction.
Good luck, and, should you choose door #3, PM me on the D5000. The stimulus checks are giving me GAS and I like buying used/refurb equipment.

This looks like a great deal. I would check to make sure it is a USA model, in the event it would need servicing by Nikon at some point in the future. You can find some great deals on preowned FX lenses right now.

I recently purchased a D750 together with a couple of lenses and I love it. If you can confirm the low number of actuations and the camera cosmetically show that it has been well cared for then $650 is a great price.

The camera is a great deal at this price. But, your 18-270 is not a good fit for the camera, being a 'DX' lens. When mounted to your new 24MP full-frame body, it will vignette until adjusted to the crop factor for a DX lens delivering only 10MP images after the crop, smaller than your D5000 files. If this is a favorite lens, consider budgeting for a replacement specific to the FX format.
On that note I would suggest the 24-70mm f2.8 as a good multi-purpose lens.

Wow, sounds like a good price, as others said you may need to invest in some additional glass. I have a D750 with probably less actuations that price seems really good.
It’s a good deal and you know you want to....

Go for the D750! I did the same when I had a D5100. That is a great price, and the move to FX is worth it. You'll be using that 50mm lens initially, as the other lenses are for the DX bodies, though they will work fine on the D750 if you put it into "DX" format, but you will want to be getting some lenses that take advantage of the larger sensor on the D750. I actually have found some wonderful AF-D lenses for very low prices that work great on my D750, but, you might want some of the more recent AF-S lenses. The Nikon AF-S 70-300 4.5-5.6 VR G can be had for only around $150 used. A 24-85 AF VR G would be a good, light-weight "walk-around" lens for around $200 -$250 used.

Only the 18-270 is a DX lens. The 70-300 should work fine.

I found a new 24-85 for $409. Is that a fair price? So far all the used ones say there is some dust in the lens.
