I remember visiting it 60 years ago. Back then, it was open to the public and you could go inside one of the legs and climb up to a large room. The structure had served as a real estate office in the past.

In college, I went with a girl named, Sandy from Margate City. I do not recall seeing the elephant, Lucy, but I do remember Sandy.

My family vacationed there when I was young. It was in a different location then. We were right across the street. Played inside it often. I’ll be 94 in June. (Boy does time fly)
