As I recall, Nikon D3 has an estimated shutter life of 300,000 actuation. ...average shutter died, 295,449.9, and average actuation still alive, 257,304.

There is a cosmetic issue, with the "flap / cover door" (I call it), , that you would lift up,
to depress the CF card door.
It is supposed to be "spring-loaded". It has the spring, visible with loupe. Perhaps could be fixed?
The seller I got it from has a strip of black tape to keep the door closed...
Shutter count shows: 129,257 (See photo below).
