Is the PCH closed anywhere?

A friend of mine plans on driving the PCH from Santa Monica to San Francisco next week. I remember seeing reports not long ago that parts of it were washed out and wondering if anyone can shed light on this and maybe suggest some good detours.

Yes, a mudslide pushed a section of the pavement into the ocean. Suggest he google alternative routes.
