Finally got out with my camera. Lots of fresh snow on the mountain and a beautiful morning to be out and about.

This was taken from Garden of Gods Park on the west side of Colorado Springs.

Beautiful landscape. The snow on the mountains really makes the stand out against the beautiful blue of the sky. Overall, the colors are very appealing throughout the shot

Thank you for a great photo. The red rock in the front is of course, as you mentioned, the entrance to Garden of the Gods, a beautiful place to visit and photograph. On the very top left of the red rock is, "Kissing Camels", what looks to be two camels nose to nose kissing.

On the very top high left of the red rock is, "Kissing Camels", what looks to be two camels nose to nose kissing. You will see a small diamond between them.

Very nice. Though I'm generally not a fan of naturally occurring cloudless skies, in this case you have a great opportunity to highlight Pike's Peak against the blue sky. That worked well.

A very fine photo! I visited that area in 2012, but didn't get a shot of Pike's Peak.

Very nice photo Rowedean. We went there (the Garden of the Gods) on our honeymoon 50 years ago and again in 2012; it's a beautiful place.

Indeed- a very nice image of one of Zebulon Pike’s two Earthly prominences to have been named by him “Pike’s Peak”
The first is a 500-foot knob-like elevation on the Iowa side of the Mississippi River, and the second is that one in Colorado that you have so pleasingly memorialized!

Just sayin’……the “rest of the story” can, at times, be of passing interest… if one is given to noticing things “of passing interest”…but, then, not all are…..are they????
