I had previously done pencil. sketches using a method from an Anthony Morganti video. This pencil sketch uses a different method I saw in a Photoshop Cafe tutorial. I believe I prefer this method as it gives more options to refine the sketch. Exported to Lightroom where I did some highlight and shadow adjustments along with a vignette and added some grain.
The background shot is a shot of the wife and I from a Valentines cruise in 2014, I selected us out of that shot and added a 2014 Garvan Gardens shot behind it, then converted that composite to a pencil sketch. Thought I'd share. If you'd like I'll share the link to that tutorial.
If you would like, Please click on the reflections picture, doing so will link you to the gallery page where the shot can be seen in higher resolution and full page. Thanks for viewing and Have A Blessed Day !!!
Nice work. Handsome couple.

Very nice. Great idea and excellent background selection. I've got a bucket full of Garvan Gardens shots. I'll have to use them and try this.

Wonderful, do you have a link to the Photoshop Cafe tutorial? I'm still using the Anthony Morganti technique
