https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elZsRHe75QMI have been curious about the cell structure
of the bark of a plant. There are only certain plants
that permit examination of bark because the bark of a
larger plant, like a tree, is too thick and hard to cut
into a useable microscope specimen. I examined the bark
of an ornamental palm tree a few weeks ago.
This time I cut a small piece of the bark of a jade plant.
The cells are interesting--outside surface, boxy and tough-looking,
inside surface, fluid and elongated--almost like the stem.
