These blacks and white really do tell a story. To bad that story is still being played out today.

What a different World that was, and is still today. I am 36 yrs old, I didnt live that time period but so intreged by it. I look at those photos and see and think What would it have been it slavery did take place in our history, Would the Pope join in on the Apaches Pow Wows? What if Time square never got as busy and crazy as its today. thanks for the link its been a Aha moment for me.

These kinds of historical photos speak to another time not that long ago. A few years following, the Civil Rights Act passed, and social and political change began in earnest. America has never been the same since. These pictures show the tenor of the earlier period.
