I had the pleasure of going to Yosemite for a workshop with Ansel in 1972. It was a very remarkable experience

Back when I first started teaching I taught basic photography for one year. It was renamed "The History and Practice of Photography" by the school so my History Teaching Credential would cover it. I had lots of help from Kodak, the LA art museum, Cal State University Los Angeles (I took more photography classes at night) and a local camera shop near Benjamin Franklin HS where I taught that year. Adams came to LA for a lecture at UCLA and the camera shop had some complementary tickets - they gave me one. So I got to see and hear him speak during the 1974-75 school year. It was a very interesting lecture, actually a talk like he and the audience were friends discussing photography.

Oh, your link, Josh Dunlop has been accused by several other on line photo groups of copying their material and presenting it as his own, sometimes without enough changes to even attempt to hide what the original was. So I have stopped using or reading any of his things in my lessons and materials I gathered for the Senior Center Photo Club. Instead I contacted one of the main sites that accused him of stealing their stuff and got their permission to use their stuff for the club. In return I recommend their site (and several others) to the Seniors in the club.
That site that gave me permission is "photographylife" https://photographylife.com/

The Ansel Adams Gallery official site is: https://www.anseladams.com/ They are planning reduced size classes for 2021. The field classes are in Yosemite Valley and last up to a week.
