You're welcome. I thought that it was interesting that these problems were caused by menu changes that inadvertently made some controls of the camera non use-able.
These kind of problems can really tax your patience when you can't figure out why the camera isn't working the way you want it to.

Yes indeed! Personally, I would gladly trade some of those feature for increased simplicity. Without sounding ethnocentric and generalizing too much, I will note that Japanese hardware designers in particular seem to be given to including every conceivable feature in a product at the expense of simplicity of operation. My wife’s older Lexus came with a nav system that was so complex that it had a separate 248 page manual to describe all the features (which made it totally useless).

You're welcome Ben. I thought it would be helpful for people that have Fuji X series cameras.
