This image suggests the Tamron 90mm macro I recently obtained is as good as advertised. Details: Nikon D7100, Tamron 90 mm macro, f11, ISO 640, 1/2000 sec. (I'm happy.)

It a magnificently detailed and beautiful shot I would be jumping up and down
All macro lenses as far as I know are very sharp and the Tamron is not the exception. Several years ago before it got stolen I had the older 90mm Tamron which was a very good lens. The only thing I didn't like about it is it was not internal focusing. I believe the newer ones are. I now have the 180mm Tamron macro which has been discontinued. You got a nice shot of the bee and will get many more nice shots. Have fun with it.
