In case you haven't heard beginning in mid May2021 in parts of eastern USA there's going to be an invasion. The 17 year cicadas will make an appearance. I'm sure we'll be seeing lots of pics of the buggers before their gone. I know I'll be doing my part.

A let depends on where you live. My friend on Cape Cod was inundated with them while here in southern New Hampshire, we had very few.

One of my childhood memories is that rising and falling buzzing of those bugs in the heat of a summer day.

Are you sure it wasn’t katydids? Cicadas don’t typical sing at night.
