Orion Region Imaging

The gods gave me another chance at the Orion region BUT shut me down a bit early on the Alnitak session with yet another influx of cloud… For interest I've included the cloudy image from the Alnitak subs originally rejected by PixInsight.

Sony A7 III camera, Sony FE 200-600mm lens @ 600mm, Star Adventurer 2i EQ mount. I’m really quite happy with this little mount, even when loaded down with this camera/lens configuration.

Enjoy!

Thanks. I'm not happy with the stars in the 2nd image but I'll blame it on the lack of subs due to cloud (gotta have some excuse )

Very nice images. Your M42 and running man nebula are outstanding as you managed to get a lot of Orion nebula without blowing out the Trapezium Cluster.

You certainly got a lot of clarity and color in those.
Great focus from my vantage point.

The spires on the brighter stars are interesting to me.
I'm use to seeing the multiple blades DSLR iris make, but see some different things there.
I'm interested in those because I'm getting some different spires on occasion from my telescope.
Just a passing curiosity.

Great images!

Nice images. Great Nebulosity.
Artifacts around the stars are interesting.
I have seen similar effect from the old nikon star eater algorithm & over stretching of data without masking the stars.
