Generic policies are set by the UHH admin and will be enforced.
Section Policies Principle:
- Threads must be related to the section intent and purpose. Those that do not will be transferred or simply deleted.
- Threads are created for a purpose by a single individual. The OP controls the content, not the section moderator (unless the thread does not fit the section). This means if an OP complains to one of the active section moderator the complaint will be reviewed. The moderator's reaction will be dictated by the section policies.
- Basically the section moderators have very little to say about what is inside a thread unless there is a complaint.
- Illustrations and images offered with no explanation on how they are made will be moved to The Exploration of Digital Artistry. (2021/04)
Please ask permission to edit BEFORE posting a variation, regardless of signature.
Ownership/copyright Creating new work using someone else's images in full or in part without credit and permission is called "appropriation". Doing so will result in the section immediate ban if there is a complaint from the original owner.
Feedback: Feedback can be misinterpreted as personal criticism. Usually it is not. Please consider comments as honest, not as a personal vendetta. A suggestion for the OP is to simply ignore the comments you dislike. It is nobody's interest to make a discouraging or provocative feedback in order to create a defensive reaction.
Note: Too many complaints about the same user from different OPs will result in not being able to post in other folks' threads.
Thread participants can report abuse from the OP or other users. When verified the actions will be within the guideline posted above. Please note: If the thread's OP is responsible the thread will be locked and all comments deleted.
Stay on topic: A single comment off-topic can and will happen. If this leads to a topic 'Hijack' the first comment and subsequent reactions will be deleted. The OP must report the incident.
Insults, bullying and other rude behaviour will not be tolerated in this section.
Please do not promote one software or plug-in over another. We all have our 'go to' tools and preference. This type of thread or answer can lead to unnecessary conflicts. Software review w/o bias on the other hand is welcomed.
This may be changed, appended over time. A notice will be posted when and if it happens.
