The challenges are doing well and just thinking out loud, what would specific challenges be like.
Kicking it up a notch, why not have a challenge that is not as broad as we usually have?
Something really specific such as "Left quarter view portrait"
or maybe 35mm DX/50mm FX street photography.
Perhaps "Still life with 3 lightsource" (any or combination of natural, reflectors or flash)
Product photography "hero a product of your choice"?
How about "realistic composite or editing"(show the original)?
Something specific but achievable. Obviously "ducks" will not do because ducks are not everywhere and "editing/composites" is pushing it.
Point being using the challenges to really challenge and push us to the unknown and learn something new in the process. Submitted images need not be perfect but to just actually try the best possible. Even just try and not submit the images is still a win in my book.
All except the 35mm DX/50MM FX are okay but by putting that specific a challenge on the board would eliminate many here. I shoot a Canon R & R5 not a Nikon.

My mistake, it should have been 35mm APS-C or 50mm Full Frame.

I don't do your challenges but do belong to the Face Book Group "Create 52" a theme a week all year.
The other day while making breakfast I put creamer in my coffee and while watching it mix and swirl a theme (challenge for you) popped into my head - "Clouds in My Coffee" for the macro shooters. And it even has a whole album of theme music "Clouds in My Coffee" by Carly Simon.

That can be a good challenge. I believe some mixture in liquid was used as special effects scene in the movie "The Never Ending Story". More power to your group!

Now if I can over come my great talent for LAZY - use a clear cup or glass, led lights, maybe even one underneath, a macro lens and a camera with a high burst rate. Pre-focus in manual mode, remote shutter and start the camera going while dropping or pouring in the creamer.
And when done you can drink your subject while importing and starting to review the results.
Also, hope you are successful before the caffeine gets to you or you have to run to the "facilities".

A true challenge in many ways

Just remembered that in addition to Carly Simon's line in "You're So Vain" "Clouds in My Coffee" is also a song by Bonnie Tyler.

Sounds like a good idea, why don't you give it a try?

I've already given the idea & examples, but this post/thread got kicked out of the challenge section.
I guess no one is interested.
Do you have a specific challenge in mind? Maybe you can propose one to them.

After a good deal of participation in challenges, I can say “that will never fly”. Won’t waste my time explaining. Open your eyes. Go see for yourself.

Don't you have an assistant to pour in the creamer?
Now, do the same thing but shoot it as a negative. Then, as a positive, shoot a cup of creamer and pour in coffee.
See if you can get them to look the same.

Your original post is not a challenge in itself...maybe why it got "kicked out"
.
I like your idea though, why not start one of the challenges you suggested, and see what happens

It might not be a photo challenge but it is a challenge to the present running system -Asking to ramp things up.

Thanks. That is why i presented the question/challenge. I thought it was a good idea too since the present challenges to me are just falling into a "rough collections" of images and not necessarily something meant to polish one's capability.
As for starting my own, There is already a challenges series going on, I believe doing a parallel thread will not be a good idea.
Personally, i'm doing my own challenge of reading the whole manual that came with my cameras. LOL
It is hard because i always fall asleep
One thing i'm seriously challenged with is mastering photography of reflective objects with basic equipments.
