Looking up Nine Mile Canyon on the map - it looks like it would take a day of driving on remote winding roads to get there! Which is probably a good thing - only really motivated people will get there. What route do you take from the south to get there? Definitely will put this on my bucket list and will need to get this book to plan a trip! Is most of the hiking along the river bottom and fairly flat? I am not old, but my knees are...

Nine Mile Canyon is northeast of Price, Utah and is accessed by paved road. The road through the canyon was paved by the energy company tapping the natural gas on the plateau above the canyon due to concern that the road dust would damage the rock art. An incredible amount of rock art can be seen from the road. Our guidebook details the location of 168 prehistoric and historic sites.
