This may sounds strange however if you are using a "Trial Version" of a software many do not allow you to save your work so all of the edits will be shown on your screen yet they will not save to the file.

The save function has been neutered so that one can 'try before you buy' all of the features of the software. Others trials save with steep limitations or they emblazon a watermark across the image.

If you don't save after editing the changes will not appear, anywhere other than on your computer. When you send it somewhere, post it or send it to be printed it will revert to the unsaved version.

All good suggestions. And don't forget that most photo editing software have a 'virtual copy' function that allows you to make a copy of the photo you want to edit. That preserves the original.

A stand alone(not plugged in) Dxo Sharpen tool, Topaz Adjust AI and Topaz Denoise AI tool will replace the original one with the same file name without asking; or there is a setting that I didn't know.

Some software, like Lightroom, store any changes you make in a separate file, sometimes called a "sidecar". When you save it as a Save As the changes are added in and the file is saved as you see it. In Photoshop you can control the changes in multiple layers or put them on the main file, your choice.
In Lightroom you have to be careful not to move files around because they can lose the sidecar and revert to the original jpg.......

This has been dogging me for a long time, and I have no idea how to fix it. If I take a jpg file, whether I shoot it that way, or in this particular case it is created from Topaz Noise reduction, and I alter it to my satisfaction. It looks fine to me. If I try to use it on ebay or send it out on facebook, the jpg that is used is the one before I altered it to my liking. I have no clue how to fix this. Any suggestions??? TIA!!!

I too had a similar problem. Duplicate your altered image, and then send the copy. Please let me know if it helped.

Give the file a different name and resave it as jpg.

This is what worked for me , aka "Fixed" - I used Topaz to remove the noise out of the NEF file. It then creates a jpg. I am using View NX-I, and Topaz puts it's jpgnext to my NEF file. I then alter the jpg Topaz created. If I want to share that edited Topaz jpg I must convert it into another jpg, just like turning a NEF file into a jpg. Then it works fine.

If you are working in RGB 1998 Make sure you assign the proper color space to the image before you post it which for internet is Srgb..color space it does make a difference .
