This photograph was taken at a mini-airshow at Portland (ME) Jetport. In the background is a B-25 Mitchell bomber.
Fine shot of a great aircraft!
I'm digin' the heavy processing.
Beautiful specimens. That nose gunner had quite a view, but may have felt really vulnerable.

Great plane. they helped win the war with Japan.
Nice image. I had the opportunity to fly in one of those. It was great.

I actually saw the same plane, "Witchcraft", at an air show in NJ. My dad was a bombardier in a B-24 and I got the opportunity to crawl around inside the plane. I couldn't get to sit in his seat because of the location but had goosebumps (and a few tears).
My late father-in-law Al Wallace captained one of these things as a kid and was shot down twice in WW II. One of the best things I have ever done in my life is surprise my wife and her sister with a short flight in Witchcraft over Dallas 3-4 years ago. It caused some smiles and some tears. I grew up in Fort Worth where they built so many of these things. And it was where Captain Wallace, a Pennsylvania farm boy learned to fly a 24 when he was just 19.
Thanks for sharing a moment in history like this plane is .
Great shot.....love the angle
