The CDC and FDA received 1,170 reports of fatalities among individuals in the U.S. who received a Covid vaccine — 0.003% of vaccinated people — between Dec. 14, and Feb. 7. During this time, over 41 million doses of Pfizer or Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccines were administered across the country, according to the CDC.

“Typically, COVID-19 vaccine deaths can be attributed to anaphylaxis and occur within a relatively short period after the vaccine is given, which is why monitoring is done,” said Dr. Gary Anthone, Nebraska’s chief medical officer.

“While I cannot speculate on this case, when individuals die days or weeks after the vaccine has been administered, it is more likely due to other underlying factors,” Anthone said.

Yes the deaths they can attribute to the shots are almost all a form of allergic reaction that shuts down the lungs.
My wife got appointments for us at the shot center at the local high school. I called Kaiser and arranged shots at their Riverside CA Medical center so I would be near the Urgent Care and ER - I have major league allergies and asthma. 1st shot, I had no reaction at all. Yesterday afternoon we got our second shots and again I had no reaction at all. Not even a bump or sore arm. Now when I go to the podiatrist next month I know his nurse will offer me the flu shot - So I will get that also.

I get a flu shot every October at the V.A. I get my first covid shot next month and my doctor promised she'll make sure whoever gives it to me won't be a format Navy Corpman (they loved giving shots with squared needles).

I remember giving shots before they had disposable needles and syringes. We had to sharpen the 20G reusable needles before putting them in the sterilizer. And some of those suckers WERE square at the tip before sharpening. Now for inj. they use 22G or 25G. Hardly feel those at all.

Kaiser provides me 31G for my insulin.

Are you just sayin' that so I don't chicken out tomorrow?

I once passed out from a shot. First week in the military we got a number of shots in each arm with a pneumatic gun. I took about three steps and went down. I woke up a bit later with a sergeant kicking me in the ribs and screaming at me.

Give me a needle any day.

I have had the flu shot two times and both times within 1/2 hour had a 102°F temperature, ended up in the hospital for 3 weeks both times with my temperature reaching 105°F during both hospital stays. First time, maybe I already had it before the shot; second time, naw the shot gave me the flu. I haven't taken a flu shot since and I usually go about 3 to 5 years between getting the flu.

My doctor tells me DO NOT GET A FLU SHOT, IT COULD KILL YOU!

My doctor tells me DO NOT GET THE COVID-19 SHOT, IT COULD KILL YOU!

I am positive I have already had COVID-19, a year ago at the end of January into February. I thought I had the flu. Later the symptoms match up closely with what people report they had with COVID-19. I still have phlegm, finger tip numbness and spotty numbness on the bottoms of my feet. Never had phlegm except with the flu which I seem to get every few years for about 5 to 7 days, never longer. The "flu" I had at the end of January 2020 lasted about 3 weeks, hmmm.

The wife gets the flu shot every year and gets her second COVID-19 shot on 3 March.

My company in Army basic (March 1966) we had a guy well over 6' who went down like an elevator with a broken cable when the medics gave him one shot in each arm at the first station. Part of it may have been that the one medic just loaded a new container of vaccine in his pneumatic gun and shot the first dose into the floor to clear it. It dimpled the linoleum of the floor (or maybe it was a thick layer of floor wax-but it dimpled it). I think that big kid was already fainting before the shots when the medic did that right in front of him.

I am a POW* and have only been out of the house/our lot 15 times in the last year.

My wife and I get them every year. We use her birthday as a reminder. I have learned to remember when her birthday is but forget how many have preceded it. =;)

Will be getting my second shot on Wednesday at 3PM! First shot only resulted in a sore shoulder for a couple of days. The only problem I had with the shot experience was with the Band-Aid they used to cover the shot area, it was a cartoon character of Wile Coyote! Do not know if they did that on purpose or not? I prefer SpongeBob myself.

You need to wait 2 weeks between getting vaccinations. So do not get it before your Covid shot tomorrow. I am a retired physician and get a Flu shot every year. Not much flu going around this year. I would wait to get the flu shot after your second shot. there are many other vaccinations us elderly should get the two pneumonia shots, DTaP which is not covered by Medicare but if you have very young grandkids this will protect them from Perussis.

With all the covid vaccinations going on, has anyone been offered or gotten a flu shot? Although I have never gotten one, every year it seems I was asked at least three times if I want one.

My first covid shot is scheduled for 9:00am Wednesday. The nurse promised she would find a sharp needle.

I really think the medical profession does poorly in explaining exactly what the primary benefit of a flu shot is. It's NOT in preventing you from getting the flu. It's that the flu shot will vastly reduce the severity of the flu, it you do get it.
