After a long trip through the railway tunnel we arrived at the Eismeer station at 10,368 feet for a 5 minute stop to view the ice fields through the large picture windows. Here's a great description from the Jungfraujoch website:
"Bluish, furrowed ice blocks under a blanket of eternal snow, and in the distance the panorama of four thousand metre peaks: This is how the Eismeer station appears at 3,160 metres above sea level. This is where the train stops, so that the passengers can take their own personal souvenir picture. What actually lasts five minutes seems like a journey through time lasting many thousands of years: During the last ice age, all of Switzerland must have looked like this mountain."
The first four images were taken through the windows at the Eismeer station.

A short time later we arrived at the Jungfraujoch Station at 11,333 feet. The air was thin and to keep us from getting altitude sickness our guide fed us many varieties of Swiss Chocolate. This is a great description from the Jungfroujoch website of the feeling you get once you arrive at the top:
"Icy air streams across your face, snow crunches under your feet, and the view nearly takes your breath away: on one side the view of the Mittelland up to the Vosges, on the other the Aletsch glacier, bordered by four thousand metre peaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 metres above sea level, you can feel it with your first step: this is a different world. It's one you have to experience."
