Thank you Joe, joecichjr, Mike! If you can imagine / remember some of the wood ducks and dragonflies from last summer, this is the view in winter of very near the same area.
The first major storm I survived in Chicago was 1967. I survived the 1979 storm and all the other ones in between. I don't miss digging my car out of the snow drifts one bit. The only thing I have to dig out of now is 3 feet of sunshine. Some one's gotta do it. One year in Chicago I figured out to keep my door locks from freezing. I moved my car to San Diego.

Paul, Great photos. Your Chicago photos bring back so many childhood memories. My mother took us to North Avenue beach every day in the summer. It was only a 15 minute walk from our home. Thanks again. Norm

All excellent Paul, I especially like the one of Grant - Jim
Nicely captured the feel of winter, Paul. Looks and feels like around here. Especially like the composition of the Grant statue shot. Reminds me a great shot doesn't have to be close.
Nice work on all of these, Paul.

Another fantastic set of images!!!Paul
After seeing and reading this, no complaints about Long Island. Stay warm and safe, Paul.
Thank you
roadsideron, Lakeman, junglejim1949, Gary, John, jerseymike, John, Mike, Frank, tcthome, rdemarco52! The snow we woke up to now one week ago this morning was an 'event', but as we all know, we've all had worse.
This week we'll be above freezing and the thaw has started. Glad you enjoyed.
I wouldn't be walking at 6º. Excellent images Paul.
Great set, Paul, I like #2 the best.
I love your shots of that area. Great area for photos. (Just be careful not to get too close to that lake ice on the beaches. They had a news story about how some people were venturing out on the ice.)
