This long snowy spell has resulted in a lot of deer activity close to the house.

We have a flowering cherry tree just outside our guest bedroom window. Those trees make an umbrella shape as the branches extend toward the ground. We have two deer who like to hide under that tree and they like to eat the buds off the tree.

This is an un-cropped photo taken out the window.

This an amazing picture in every way. Resolution, detail, composition. I like that fact that you resisted the urge to post process.

Thanks for sharing, Alan

Alan,

Oh, it was under exposed and post processing was used, I did not crop. Glad you could not tell.

I have deer of every shape and size coming to my house this year. Here are five of them eating the multi-floral rose on the side of a trail that I cut into my woods.

Thank you.

"Staying safe" has been a big problem for me for several weeks! I have a very long steep driveway leading to my house that is in the woods on a hill top. It's impossible for me or anyone else to drive a normal car up or down my driveway. I had a three day stay in the hospital that left me very weak. Friends and relatives have been carrying food up the my house for my wife and I. The house is sound with two good furnaces and a whole house natural gas powered back up electric generator.

I have healed and some strength has returned. The weather is supposed get up to 54F Wednesday. I hope to be able drive down my driveway by Thursday. I have a doctors appointment that I want to keep on Thursday.

The fact that I was able use my camera and take photos of the deer today demonstrates how much I have recovered!
