To me there are two songs which represent an era of being in "love with Life" for me. During the 50's life became magical with music friends, and memories of many warm summer evenings sitting on the porch all night listening to "The Hound", on WPTR. Fats Domino and his rendition of "Blueberry Hill" was a favourite of mine. At that period of my life my best buddy was my highschool teacher and we would sneak into the local elementary school at night where there was a a record player and we would play their record of Pat Boone's "Love Letters in the Sand" and we spent many an evening waltzing in the empty classroom until the early morning hours. This song brings back many great memories to me. Thank you for sharing your lovely story Every time I see your photo on a post, an image of my aunt Shirley comes immediately to mind. The sweetest person you could imagine I'm glad you're around to bring her to mind, as it should be. I'm betting, based on your photos and this story, that your heart is just as light and warm as hers always was... She never had kids, but she made it to 92 with about thirty nieces and nephews, and she was literally revered until the very end

What a special Memory. Blueberry Hill goes perfectly with the book "Blueberries for Sal" by Robert McCloskey - I'm sure you know that book.

Nice I used to love picking (Eating off the bush!) blueberries under the hot sun when I was a kid. It still is a warm, lovely memory Thanks for conjuring it once again

This is a challenge rerun which is a little different. It's the "love" season. Use your images to illustrate a song title or phrase, a movie or book title, or a quote. Once you get "in the groove" the ideas come quickly. Need ideas? Google: love songs, love quotes etc. But "warning" this can be addicting.

Good start off Pat...

"A Mother's Love...Of all the special joys in life...a mother's love and tenderness is the greatest of them all."

Not sure who the author of this quote was.

Does this one count? Memory from Cats

What a beauty I'm retired, and it's just me in the house now. Me and my bird, and she hates me. I've been thinking about getting a cat since, I think, they are a little more independent than dogs, so I could leave it for six or seven hours. Why not love for or from a cat? Love is love
