Thank you so much for taking the time to review and thoughtfully comment Ourspolair.
And your very kind words on her pose dynamics, and bridal gown.
They are truly appreciated...
"...some of the dress detail seems a bit overblown in the first image. That's not like you... My monitor was recalibrated today is it me or you?"
Perhaps you need to rethink your inference here...
Why? You apparently don't understand Highlight Clipping verses White Without Detail...
In your recent post of Jan 26, 2021 I concur entirely with Dave...
"...I find #3 uncomfortable to view due to the badly blown cloud highlight in the upper right corner...."
Ourspolair you have totally blown out all detail in the "Hero" portion of this third image... Is it a throwaway?
Here is a link to this image to allow others to judge for themselves...
https://static.uglyhedgehog.com/upload/2021/1/26/427121-20201103_171522.jpg Having White without Detail in a minor portion of a bridal gown isn't an issue... especially if it's a B&W monochromatic rendering...
Besides you sadly may have missed the point of this image... It is a lifestyle editorial on a women's rite of passage... Until you have done dozens of wedding events you are unlikely to comprehend the spirit and intent of this rendering... Like so many others on UHH you are perhaps blinded by a pixel fetish that makes one self insensitive to the emotional aspects of a visual statement...
Best Advice? Invest some quality time in major art galleries in which you have access... Learn from the works of the masters who managed to cobble together timeless masterworks of grandeur which have lasted hundreds of years.
My Path? As a resident of the Washington DC area I have truly benefited from investing countless hours in the National Gallery of Art; American Art Museum; National Portrait Gallery; Phillips Collection; Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden; National Museum of African Art; Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. National Museum of Women in the Arts.
The sooner you get off UHH and embrace the art masterpieces of antiquity the sooner you'll realize your current passion with a Samsung A71 is possibly rather limiting...
All the best on your journey Ourspolair,
