Great example of a 'painterly' rendering of an image to create something unique, original and eye catching. The picture invites you back to enjoy it again and again. Wall hanging? Why not. Good art can stimulate the mind and eye to explore and search for more in an image. A sharp picture of the same subject can be 'just' a sharp picture, well exposed, proper color balance, etc. - and completely forgettable.
