You asked for comments so here are a few:

The focus is soft, perhaps in part due to camera shake, considering you shot this at 1/250th at 600mm. The reflection in the eye appears to show some vertical movement. Go faster. You have a lot of room for a faster shutter speed considering you were shooting at f/13. I would be shooting this lens wide open, almost all the time for birds, allowing for faster shutter speeds needed for sharp focus and freezing action.

The red channel on this image is blown out, over exposed. It is very easy to do with vermillion flycatchers. Next time you are with them, watch your histogram and try to control the reds.

These are beautiful little birds and are fun to photograph especially considering they are somewhat predictable in that they will often times come back to the same perch. Go get some more!!!!! and looking forward to seeing them.
