Yep...I get them from time to time. But...there is a "BIG DIFFERENCE" between Want & Need!
Did I need new shoes for my pony? (Tripod) Nope!!!
I guess I was bored the other day from setting at home (Like others here) so I "SUCCUMBED" to a G.A!!!
Did I buy these? Yes I did!
Why?
Because..., well I just did!!!
Anyway they arrived today (Fast shipping too) and I was delighted with my new toys.
I found them:
1) Made well from good material.
2) Increased the footprint slightly.
3) A hole to put an Allen wrench or a screwdriver through to tighten securely.
4) If I need to lower the tripod for a very low shot, I get the entire footprint, not just the edge.
Now for $6 each, seeing the material & quality machining, I was impressed.
Did I "NEED" these? Aha.... NO!
But I think they are worth the $18.00
Just wanted to pass this tid-bit of information along to other UHH's that may be bored like me.
"But it is a good product".

My lightweight tripod has been "limping" for two years... I think I will see how the feet attach. Your topic has given me GAS! Thanks for sharing.

Your GAS is contagious! . . .
I try to avoid G.A.S., as it can easily result in buying stuff I don't actually need - things which don't really help to improve my photography.

You people with all this expendable money will buy anything. You could have bought 18 hamburgers and fed the guy on the corner with the help sign, You could have bought carrots for the horse , but nope you went out and splurged because of a gas attack.
On the other hand they are kind of cool.
but then again, I went out to buy sneakers and accidentally bought a gimbal for my tripod.
it was an accident, I really wanted those sneakers. Next thing you know I'll be buying a camera when I went out for a pound of hamburger

That’s true but G.A.S. is fun especially when buying stuff you think you need.
I just bought an artist's satchel when I already have a bag that will so the job. Go figure!

I guess we’re always looking for the next best thing.
