Excellent working condition. Only marks are on the Tensioning Knob (plier marks) See Photo #1.
Marks in no way affect the operation of the knob. Currently, used prices are in $400 - $500 range.
My price $325 and I'll pay shipping within the US.
Contact me using PM.
Would prefer to deal with buyer in person - You bring cash / I bring Ballhead for you to check out.
I live just south of Ocala, Florida.

A beautiful piece like that; I hope it wasn't you using pliers on a thumb knob.

Why did you use pliers?

About two years ago I used a pliers because the tensioning knob would not loosen; I wound up sending it back to RRS; they loosened it. There is nothing wrong with the knobs or the working of the ballhead; everything works perfectly, as it should. This is not an issue - there is nothing wrong with the ball head.

Keyboard and pliers reflects typical care? No thanks.

Well Rich, as I was writing the note to post on UHH, I couldn't figure the words to describe the marks on the tensioning knob. I decided simply to show them, so I got the ballhead, put it on my desk and used my cell phone to take a picture. Sorry you didn't like the keyboard either ... you certainly wouldn't like my desk!

For those who might be asking the question "WHY IS HE SELLING IT?"
Here's why - see attachments
For many years the Wimberley gimbal was my go to tripod topper. Up till now, the RRS ballhead was sort of my travel head.
I recently purchased the two heads in the photos to be used on trips and no longer will be using the RRS head.
It's as simple as that. Hey Rich ... is this a better background?

I wrote that I couldn't figure out how to describe the marks; not how to hide the marks.

It has been brought to my attention that I failed to mention that the lever action clamp shown is part of the deal, it is.

RSS manufactures fine, precision photography accessories; I am quite sure they would be able to replace the damaged part, which will also help you sell the ball head a lot faster and at a better price.

Thank you for your suggestion. It's a shame no one believes that the ball head is in perfect working condition. I tried my best to explain the marks and why I'm selling the ball head. I'm not selling it because I need the money. I received 3 offers from people at a much lower price - because of the "Damage". I told them "I want to sell the item, not give it away". The fact is, everything I said is true and someone eventually will get a very good buy.
