Joe, I have come to the conclusion that you have been everywhere and have the t-shirts to prove it!

Thank you Bill - good choices, glad you like these. The view from the "Brienzer Rothorn" in Switzerland into the mountains in the "Berner Oberland" is really quite spectacular.

Did you notice the train chugging up on the mountain track at the bottom right of the picture - it is really tiny. Go access this mountain, you can take a gondola cable car up from the village of Flühli which we did or you can take this train up from the village of Brienz which you can see at the foot of the mountain on this picture - which of course enables you to use both when you build it into a round-trip excursion. Since we came by car, we did have to go back down the same way.

Thanks Ken, I see that you are intrigued by the Central America pictures, that Temple of the Great Jaguar was just beautiful, to take that picture I climbed one of the adjacent temples and shot it from the top.

Thank you Ken, you got that partly right - "everywhere" is a BIG word, so no, I haven't been and yes, I used to get t-shirts wherever we went, but gave up on that a long time ago, not enough drawers left in the house and the shirts had the uncanny ability to shrink and not fit anymore (maybe it wasn't exactly the shirts fault to be honest ...)

Great - it is really quite an experience chugging up the mountains on these trains - Switzerland is full of them, one of the big differences to the great mountains we have here - in Switzerland the mountains are inhabited, at least to a good extent, and there are plenty of trails and trains and gondolas and wherever you hike to, you can find a mountain chalet with a restaurant to have a very decent to excellent meal, a good glass of whatever strikes your fancy and an unforgettable view - way to live!
