Newbie: Critique please

Hello,
This is my first time posting anything here besides my intro looong time ago. I picked up photography as a hobby and to help relax myself from med school. I only have a 50mm f1.4 lens. All my gear are gifted to me and I am in no position to acquire gear right now. I'll probably start posting more here as time goes on.
Not that I am excusing my newbieness but I just learned how to physically balance the "exposure triangle" and it generally works. I'm having fun so far.
Please critique.
This first photo is heavily cropped but the whole picture did not feel very interesting. As for post processing, I tried to smooth out the sun and sharpen the silhouette of the people. That's pretty much all I did.
The second photo, is straight out of the camera besides turning the DNG to JPG.
The third photo is straight out of the camera if I am not mistaken.
The last photo is resized because I posted it in another forum but no other edits.

Very nice pictures. My only advice is to click 'store original' when posting photos. That gives the viewer a better look and also if you're asking for critiques and help it gives them more info of how you got the picture where it is and how to help you if that is needed. I also looked back at your intro and your mom gave you excellent advice with your camera when she said 'use it'. All the books and advice are worth nothing until you put them into practice. And like she said, as you use your camera questions will come.

I think they are all great. They show that you are thinking of subject and composition and how to use depth of field, leading lines etc.
Make the most of your 50 mm f1.4. It is great length and aperture for establishing a strong base.

What do you mean by more info like the iso, aperture, shutter speed settings? Right, the context of the photo is important too. I will edit accordingly.

However, I wouldn't have a lot of furniture and stuff interfering with the orchid unless it enhances the composition. These things in that picture draw your eyes away. Gorgeous car and shot well

Yes, camera settings are available in the download. Also, the picture itself is much better for viewing. I am far from an expert but I know the more knowledgeable and helpful members here often ask the poster to 'store original' when asking for help.

Very Nice Images. I myself am a Advanced Beginner, have gathered knowledge, Ideas, experiences, but I have been slow to add it all to my Photography, I have a few Images I have created that I am quite proud, although my overall experience is lacking. the older I get the harder it is to get motivated. Now 70 years old.
