Good morning from a dark and dry Seattle. Not much planned again today, so will try to enjoy it as it comes. Will sort out a meal later for our dinner and at some point get on with my knitting. And, I'll enjoy whatever sunshine comes our way today. I hope you all are having a good day/afternoon/evening. xxxooo

I need to rotate the stuff in the freezer. All the quick stuff at the top has been used already and the bigger, longer to cook, stuff has all gone to the bottom.
Have you been doing any pretty shawls lately?

Oh, he's terrible at buying new clothes, except underwear! He's really bad at throwing stuff away too, he has a wardrobe full of stuff that fitted him many years ago but he won't get rid of any of it!!!

Mine buys more new clothes than I do. xxxx

Isn't that lovely. Most phones now have a setting to save contacts and phone numbers on the SIM card, instead of in the phone memory, by default.

Yes, our new phones have all the memory added on to them before we leave the phone store. I remember the awful time trying to put numbers in our older phones. Each number had 3 letters attached to it.

The bobble hats would be interesting to watch. Do you have that many people walking by your hedge.

Yes, quite a lot, we are on one of the villages main roads fairly near the centre of it, a complete contrast from when we were at The Barn, there it was quite an event if someone we didn't know walked past, not that we had that many. xx

I never realized how old some of my clothes were. Last year I had to get a new drivers license with a new picture. I looked at the old picture and realized I still wore the shirt I wore 8 years ago on that picture.

You and Jacki have better clothes manufacturers than I have. My clothes generally fall apart or get really thin after a not-very-long period of time. Some of most favourite shirts became so thin that I can't wear them in public anymore, but they are ok for around the house with a tank top under.

Our house is 2nd away from the walking path to our local park, so we have a number of people who walk through our court to get to the foot path. The other end of the park goes to the industrial park and McDonalds, or to the end of the subdivision and the school at the edge of the subdivision. So there is a lot of foot traffic around here too.

We've been treating ourselves once in awhile to Chinese takeaway (their lunch specials which is plenty and very reasonably priced) from a local Chinese restaurant. Both of us have been very satisfied with our meals. It's a nice break from cooking. xxxooo

I would love to go to the Chinese all-you-can-eat. But buffet eating has always been somewhat risky despite the sneeze guards, and I wouldn't dare right now.

Great news for DH. My DD texted last night “you’re getting the vaccine as soon as it’s available! Right?” Keeping tabs on us!

I have a feeling my employer will send me a message that my jab is waiting for me before mum's doctor calls her about hers, because my employer is in one of the "hotspots".

I'm going to sign off now and make a pot of tea. When I woke up this morning, I was convinced it was Thursday, so I am super happy that it is FRIDAY.
Everyone have a happy day and stay away from cov-idiots.

I opened the door to my room to the same thing. Bella-kitty has been good for a couple weeks now, so I don't know what she found to eat, and throw up.
My darling Princess has eaten the leaves off my avocado again. The avocado had just started to unfurl replacement leaves for the last batch that she removed. I can't get her any cat grass at the moment.

Hopefully they are ok for her to eat, even if they make her sick?? I'm feeling for the avocado though!!! xxxx

We stopped for take out at a BBQ place. The brisket was 50% fat and the pulled pork sandwich had a 75/25 bread to meat ratio. Never going back there. The Mexican restaurants have not disappointed, but they are farther away.

Unfortunately the closest Mexican restaurant is about 300km away, so that is a very rare food choice, unless we happen to be near one; or DD5 decides that she will shout a meal, for her wonderful parents! 🤣😂🤣 xoxoxo

At my sister's 1st wedding, I had to wear gloves that went all the way up to my upper arm so I wouldn't have bare arms. It's not just the Queen that specifies no bare arms. Some of the churches here say the same thing.
Her 2nd wedding was on the beach, so a coverup over a bathing suit was acceptable.

I've seen a lot of half-naked brides in the last few years! What's that all about? If you are going to get married in church, I don't think a little bit of respect goes amiss!! Feel so sorry for the vicars trying to conduct a ceremony with boobs in their faces!!! xxxx
