I am not kidding, it is published on the Apple web site. When I first saw this pop-up I thought it was a joke, well it is not.

Search HT211900 with google or anything you regularly use.

"Medical devices such as implanted pacemakers and defibrillators might contain sensors that respond to magnets and radios when in close contact."

"Consult your physician and medical device manufacturer for information specific to your medical device and whether you need to maintain a safe distance of separation between your medical device and iPhone or any MagSafe accessories."

The interesting part... The page basically starts with 'it is safe' then it goes downhill from here.

ughh! as if there aren't enough problems in the world. Now it is possible to have a cause of death listed on the death certificate as unsafe proximity to iPhone 12. We were better off with two tin cans and a string.

Until there are actual reported, verified cases, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Besides, who takes smartphone photos with their phone pressed up against their chest?

More technology is introduced every day- everything needs to be wireless, operated by remote cote control, and activated by everything other than human hands. Add to that Artificial Intelligence. If you need to cook dinner in 4 minutes, you need a MICROWAVE oven. All of the stuff emits electromagnetic fields, radio waves- that seem to get higher and higher in the spectrum each year. Who knows- Gamma rays- X-Rays- DEATH rays? How about that GPS- an offshoot of Big Brother?

Y'all may not know that mundane stuff like CB radios, Ham Radios, 2-Way Radios, even walkie-talkies operate on frequencies that are assigned by the FCC or equivalent authorities in other countries BUT these frequencies also have fantom radio frequencies that can interfere with other radio services so the noisy neighbour next door with an illegal overpowered CB radio can be heard over your TV, stereo or worse, interfere with police fire, ambulance communications and AIRCRAFT communications. So, in the olden days, the FCC had to worry about these issues, assign frequencies to each service and enforce power limitations. Nowadays. the may have to worry about your ultrasonic pencil sharpener, cell phone, or remote control lawn more or robotic vacuum cleaner BLOWING UP to your pacemaker, sending brain-damaging frequency through your hearing aid, or you end up SEEINGG pornographic videos through your dental implants. Besides, we are become "bionic people" medical science prolongs our lives by implanting neat stuff in our bodies that act as antennas for all theses waves and fields

Me, I long for the good old days when photographers could be poisoned, burned, or sickened by toxic, corrosive and/or carcinogenic darkroom chemicals, electrocuted by a faulty strobe, or murdered in their sleep by their wives for buying too much photo gear. I even remember wehn folks though there were destructive rays emitted by the CRT (picture tubes) in TV sets and worried about the kids watching too close and spending too much screen time watching HowdyDoodie. Nowadays, most of the stuff on TV is just destructive to your mind and kids are permanently attached to screens.

What's next- the Lithium-Ion batteries in your cell phone will overheat and set your pants on fire? In the olden day, you could do that- low-tech- with a 9-volt battery and a pocket full of coins!

Having compared my wife's IPhone to my cameras, I feel that using it as a camera is robbing yourself of the chance to become a great photographer

It's even worse if the iPhone spikes your deliberator and blows out your ticker. That would rob you of ...let me see...YOUR LIFE?

I've seen better pictures for a good photographer using an iPhone than from an inapt photographer with a sophisticated camera. The cell phone vs. camera argument is silly but becoming a cardiac invalid or a dead photographer due to iPhone use is a good argument for the anti-cellphone camp. And...death can strike even if you don't use your iPhone for photograhy- it can spike your implant during a phonecall.

Hey, this may spur the revival of the phone-booth!
