Winter Honeysuckle Vine

Out for a walk yesterday and it looks like winter but when you look closer stuff is still alive. It always amazes me how some of these plants manage to avoid freezing solid. Two nights ago the temp dropped to -8 c. but this bleep bleep honeysuckle on the fence is still green and still alive. I say bleep bleep because here it's an invasive and this is one reason why. While all the normal plants have lost their leaves and only the roots below ground are alive this bleepin' vine is ready to get the jump on them just as soon as it starts to warm up. Fuji XT-4 w/16-55
