Back in the early 90s my brother gave me his bank's 4 box seat tickets for a game against the Detroit Tigers at Yankee Stadium. The seats were about 4 rows up from the field between home plate and the Yankee dugout. I was able to sit just past the screen with a view of home plate.
It was an overcast day so I shot Fujicolor 400 using a Nikon N2000 with a Sigma 600mm f8 mirror lens.
The Yankees won the game 11-3 and "Captain Hook" Sparky Anderson lived up to his nickname by using about 8 different pitchers that day. I have a number of pics of him on the mound making the changes.
I also have pics of other Yankees like Willie Randolph, Don Mattingly, Paul O'Niel and Lou Piniella. I'll post them as soon as I find and scan the negatives.
Until then here is one of Dave Winfield at bat. I have one of him during the same at bat where he is in his batting stance but glaring back at the umpire who had just called a pitch up around his eyes a strike. He hit the next pitch in the left field seats.
