Greetings Photographers!
I am seeking a new web hosting platform that is geared towards photographers, and came across WIX. Does anyone with experience with that platform recommend it, or another option? (I'm seeking an inexpensive platform that can support a few thousand jpgs, SEO, keyword indexing, and e-commerce options.) Thank you!

WIX is fine, so is Squarespace. There are more discounts available with Squarespace from YouTube providers.
Stay far, far away from Word Press.

Great advice! I'm not a YouTube provider, and so far, leaning towards WIX. I have to evaluate the total cost for doing what I need, but looking forward to a redesign of my existing site, and enabling e-commerce and SEO functionality. Thanks!

Squarespace offers 10% off your first month's billing if you use offer codes from various YouTube channels. Check out Thomas Heaton, Tony Northrop, Adam Gibbs or the Fro.
Thanks! I'll check them out, and others such as Wix.
Be Safe, and Regards,

I used wix for my business website (vintage Japanese motorcycle repair and restoration) and it was great for that.
I use Squarespace for my photography site. It just seemed simpler and more artist oriented in my opinion.
Interesting! Since you've used both, can you please give me an idea of annual cost, and exactly what the one cost would include? (I say "one cost" because my current platofrm (Network Solutions) charges several fees yearly, i.e., hosting, email alias, domain name registration). Since my domain name is already registered, I assume I wouldn't have that fee. Thank you!
I personally like Smugmug, but it's probably more than you want to spend. If you do end up liking it, let me know and I can send you a discount code that gives us both money off of your first year's subscription.
EDIT:
Here's the code anyways.

Thank you! Yes, you're correct in that I don't want to spend too much, as this is a small sideline, not my "day job". (If it was my day job, I'd be sleeping in a tent. ;-(
