Exercise may be dangerous

Exercise may be dangerous for your life. We went on one of our usual walks around Rancho Park. It was somewhat windy and Nancy’s hat blew off along Pico boulevard. She put it back on and we talked for another few seconds: suddenly a loud cracking and SLAM this dead tree landed about 20 feet from where we stood. A few steps more and we would have been dead meat or at least had a hole in the head .

Thank you. And our hearts survived the shock too.

Wow! You are very lucky. I’ve actually had this same experience, and by the time you hear the crack, process the information and look up to find out where it came from, it’s too late to move. Glad you’re OK.

Glad you are OK. Life demonstrates to you sometimes how random luck and absence of luck is. Great picture of the fallen tree, taking part of the lawn with it

We had a similar experience a few years ago : stopped talk to fellow hikers (old ladies) and half part of a tree came down a few feet away from us and them.

We walk in the woods a lot. With the ash borer the woids have become a lot more dangerous in sw ohio. We don't go in windy weather anymore. Looks like God loves you. Be careful.
